Sharon Jiska Brooks presents her paintings and talks about the inspirations for her art.

Sharon Jiskra Brooks is an artist originally from Chicago, IL now living in Indianapolis, IN. Sharon works primarily in Oils and Acrylics. Growing up with a father who was a professional photographer, she was immersed in the arts at an early age. Her paintings embrace the city life as well as many aspects of the rural life that surround her home now. Her degree in Graphic Design from Ball State University and her studies abroad in Europe allowed her to appreciate the arts on a deeper level.

She is a member of the Hoosier Salon Artists, IPAPA (Indiana Plein Air Painters Association), and SEGD (Society of Experiential Graphic Designers).

She received her B.A. in Graphic Design received from Ball State University, 1986. Studied abroad in London at the Tate Gallery and throughout Europe.
