Making a Moment – Special Exhibit

January 24 – October 13, 2024

Steamboats, World War 2 dioramas, and a slice of Indiana history in the Levi Coffin house await you in this temporary exhibit. Visit our Community Room to travel through time.

An attention to detail defines much of the miniaturist’s craft. These artists have further built on that aspect by representing a particular moment. The broad brush of eras gives way to the specificity of a time and place.
Look into the past and gain a deeper understanding of the people, culture, and society of other times through the architecture and techniques of the day. The carpentry, painting, metalworking, and more transport us to places and times typically only known through words and pictures.
