This August we celebrate 27 years of being open to the public. As a non-profit, we depend greatly upon individual donations to continue being able to pay our small staff, maintain a building that is over 130 years old, care for our collection of nearly 7,000 items, mount exhibits at least seven times a year, and host special events, even though these events are on hold right now due to the pandemic.
There are many ways you can contribute.
-use the Donate button on the Donate page under the Support tab on our website. Just click the button on that page to make a donation by credit card.
-mail a check (with phone number noted) to: Donations, Museum of Miniature Houses, 111 East Main Street, Carmel, IN 46032.
– check to see if your company will match your tax-deductible donation to the Museum.
-donate stock. Please contact us at email@example.com if you are interested in this kind of donation.
-remember the Museum of Miniature Houses in your will and estate plans.
-sign up with Kroger Community Rewards. Then, every time you present your Shopper’s Card or provide your Alternate ID (i.e. phone number) at the register, a percentage of the transaction will come to the museum.
-sign up on Amazon Smile using your regular Amazon account. Then every eligible purchase you make will result in a donation of 0.5% of the purchase price. The only difference is that you logon through the www.amazonsmile.com site.
Our visitors support the museum through their admission fees, too. Don’t forget we have two new exhibits: Smallest of the Small (smaller than the usual 1” to 1’ scale) and Duck Decoys, both full-size and miniature. For now, we are open only on weekends, Saturday from 11-4 and Sunday from 1-4. Hope to see you soon!
