Museum receives Humanities grant
Jun, 3 2020

The Museum of Miniature Houses is honored to have received funding provided by Indiana Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan of 2020. The operating grant of $5,000 is meant to alleviate the impacts of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the Museum so that the Museum may continue to provide humanities programming to the public.

The museum has been closed to the public since March 18. A Virtual Gallery was initiated in order to share the Museum’s collection with the online public in lieu of physical visits. This has appeared on a nearly daily basis on our web site, our Facebook page, Instagram, Pinterest and various other sites.

Due to pent-up demand for quality miniature furnishings and accessories, our shop is open for appointments on Thursdays between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. or Saturdays between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. by calling Kathy at 317-690-1300. Only those with appointments will be allowed to enter the shop.

Lastly, the Museum itself is anticipated to reopen soon on a limited basis. An announcement will be made as soon as plans are finalized.
